"Harmatia, as stated, is seen as an error in judgement or unwitting mistake is applied to the actions of the hero. For example, the hero might attempt to achieve a certain objective 'X'; by making an error in judgement, however, the hero instead achieves the opposite of 'X', with disastrous consequences.
However, harmatia cannot be sharply defined or have an exact meaning assigned to it. Consequently, a number of alternate interpretations have been associated with it, such as in the Bible harmatia is the Greek word used to denote "sin". Bible translators may reach this conclusion, according to T.C.W Stinton, because another common interpretation of harmatia can be seen as a "moral deficit" or a "moral error". -- Copyright © Stefana Gherghel aka RandomHyperKid. I am glad you do. Thank you! Thought provoking .. huh, who would have thought someone would say that about my stuff.

I had never heard the term you used before. I consider myself both well read and educated, so it is a rare treat for me when I encounter such tidbits to think about. I love your stuff, and often feel intimidated by some of it. -- "Fred Durst can surf a piece of plywood up my ass". - Trent Reznor Okay I shall.*
Oh thank you but you have no reason to be intimidated by any of my work. ... (*starting now) And yes you do sound well read and educated whereas I have much to be educated on and much to read so please don't expect any "mystical" stuff to come out of my mouth. It's very rare that I can have an intellectual conversation. Most of the time, as you have seen, I talk about constipation. Attractive right? -- ~ Stefana these fucking walls must be talking cause man I can hear 'em ~VintageMemories Oh thank you
I hadn't hear of harmatia until I started studying Hamlet. That's who the 'hero' refers to. They're digital -- ~ Stefana these fucking walls must be talking cause man I can hear 'em ~VintageMemories wonderful concept here, and definitely well executed.
